Veterans Day!

Julian Moody as a Private in World War II
Julian Moody 1917-2009

Regardless of what your political beliefs are, please remember your veterans, as well as pray for servicemen and servicewomen who are overseas now.

On this Veterans Day, I would like to commemorate World War II veteran and executive coaching pioneer Julian Moody. Julian served as a forward observer in heavy artillery and combat photographer. I was blessed to spend time with him during 2007 to 2009 and learn from him. If you're curious, the edited transcript of our dialogue on World War II is contained here: (A Few Things Learned in World War II). I also had a chance to look at the photographs Julian took during the war. Having looked at hundreds of original World War II photos, I have to say Spielberg's set and production people did an amazing job in Saving Private Ryan. Julian quite liked that movie, as well as Eastwood's Flags of Our Fathers (Julian's brother fought at Iwo Jima and lost his leg there.) Julian felt the movies did a great job of capturing the look and feel of the times and the war. If you haven't seen them yet, check them out.

Have a blessed Veterans Day and thank you for remembering your veterans!
